The Charity Ball is Med Center Health Foundation’s primary annual fundraiser and is widely considered to be Bowling Green’s must-attend event of the year.
The Senior Perspectives Program at The Medical Center at Scottsville and Franklin has been recognized through a generous $8,000 cash award from Home Instead Senior Care.
Each year Home Instead recognizes not only the efforts of their own 1,000+ franchise locations, but other elite community programs that focus on the unique needs of senior citizens. The Senior Perspectives program is an outpatient counseling program for these seniors who are at least 60 years old and who live within a 30-mile radius of the hospital campuses. As many individuals grow older, the unique changes that occur in senior adulthood can often become overwhelming and lead to more serious emotional health issues. These issues in turn impact physical health and independence of the elderly.
Home Instead says, “Senior Perspectives is worthy of this award because mental health among seniors is often overlooked. It is a small but productive and powerful entity that provides care to a vulnerable population – a cause that aligns with the daily mission of Home Instead.”
